Hello,
I'm trying to model the interaction of a shock wave in gas and a cylindrical object. There has to be a partial reflection but so far I fail to get that in my solutions. I am total noob to openFOAM, so I started with shockTube tutorial and changed mesh accordingly. I tried both sonicFoam and rhoCentralFoam, but neither gave me what I wanted. Here's closeup of my mesh near said cylinder just in case it matters somehow: And here are my results: t=0 t=0.003 t = 0.006 As you can see, there's no reflection of the wave where in theory should be some. Source file are controlDict fvSchemes fvSolutions So what should I do? Am I using right solvers and what seems to be the problem? Thanks in advance. |

I found this thread in similar, gonna check if changing boundaries on the cylinder works.
