Hi,

I actually took all my thermo datas from GRI-Mech, so I don't really know how to retrieve the species' data you are asking.

Hi, remir. I am thinking that in XiFoam there is a reaction progress variable for premixed combustion, but for reacting foam why there is not such parameter? Only because XiFoam using the flamelet concept?

Hi, Remir. I tried the case you uploaded, and I modified it with multi-step but after I run it for a period of time, I found there is no combustion. Do you think what the reason is?
I think if the one step could work, my modification should also work, since I only changed the mechanism. I am really confused. Could you give me some advice? Thank you!

I am sure you should've resolved your problem, but just in case if anybody else, has got the same problem for ignition, I am answering this post:

One of the easiest ways for igniting your fuel in reactingFoam, is; you can put a cylinder or sphere patch in your setFields, and add burned products value in that fields. (such as High Temperature, 0 or nearly zero reactant, and products).

You could also set a flame front using a setField (try swak4foam if you havn't already).

To answer Howard as well, here is a typical methane-air premixed case I work on, using the PitzDaily tut as a base and a simple chemistry.
