hi people. my problem is quite simple I think. I want to solve the tutorial "damBreak" with dynamic mesh. I used interDyMFoam. But simulation always crashed after time=0.37
I changed everything mesh size, deltaT, courant number ect... but it gave me the same error: floating point exception (core dumped). I use openfoam/2.2.0 I am kind of a new abot openfoam. so may be the solution is very easy but I couldn't find it. please help!!! thanks |

Hi
Could you give some more information on the error (log file) and the case setup in a tar.gz file. I had those errors when the volume of a cell, moved by the solver became zero, which is a sign for wrong definitions in the pointMotionU/pointDisplacement field. Regards Fabian |
