Dear All,
I found that when I use CrankNicholson or backward, there will be additional output file like U_0, k_0, ddt0(rho,U)..... It seems that for each solved variable, there will such kind of variables. I know they correspond to the last time step. But a problem arises: when the mesh is very large, say 10 m, these additional files occupy more space in my computer than those obtained with Euler time scheme. But for Euler it is only first order while C-N and backward have second order, which are much better particularly in LES. Does anybody know a strategy about using C-N or backward but making OPENFOAM not output such larger data files? Any suggestions and comments are welcome. OFFO |
