Hi,
I'm running this simulation of flow over a flat cylinder (like a disk on a plate) in a flow. I'm trying to do a grid independence study and the coarser mesh ran fine. The only thing I changed was the number of grid points (at first) but the pressure residual just hovers around 0.1. Since then I've been experimenting with different boundary conditions in order to satisfy the pressure solver but nothing seems to work. Would any of you be kind enough to browse my files and see if you can spot something I've overlooked? The coarse simulation used symmetry planes on the top and sides. I was only using those because I thought that was the best way to keep the sides and top from interfering with the rest of the flow. I'm learning that that's probably not true but I'm not sure of the best combination of BCs otherwise. Thanks for any help at all I'm stumped Dropbox of case files for coarse mesh. Dropbox of case files for fine mesh. |
