How to run the tutorials' problems?

Hello guys,
i'm a beginner in Openfoam in order to learn more, i wanna to run some of the problems in the tutorials folder. but there is a problem that i got confused how to run different cases. How should i know about the orders to be typed in terminal for running the different problems? best |

Hello,
Some tutorials have the Allrun file in the case directory. In these cases you can simply type "./Allrun" when you are at the case directory in the terminal. You can access the case directory in the terminal by typing "cd" followed by the path, for example "cd /home/user/run/tutorials/incompressible/simpleFoam/airFoil2D/". In the other cases you need to do manually, some need to build the mesh and other just need to be ran by typing the name of the solver when within the case directory, just typing "simpleFoam", for example. To learn how OpenFOAM works I recommend first to read the User Guide and then try to run the tutorials manually. Regards, J. Vieira |
