hello, I run the wigley hull cases download at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/open.../EricPaterson/ the case goes well, but I have question about the k and omega value in "steadyResistance" case I use http://www.cfd-online.com/Tools/turbulence.php and following Properties to calculate k & omega Freestream velocity=1 Turbulence intensity/level=1 Kinematic viscosity=1e-6 Eddy viscosity ratio=10 the result is k=0.00015, omega =15 but in the steadyResistance case is k=0.00015(same), omega =2 also, in the "transientResistance" case use: Freestream velocity=2 the result is k=0.0006, omega =60 but in the transientResistance case is k=0.1, omega =400 Why the k&omega values I calculated is different from the tutorials? |
