Hi Peter,

Before setting the case, I need a clarification and solution for solid-fluid coupled interface creation.
Quote:
The solid and fluid bodies are not even coupled in my case.. there is no interface formation between both of it..
I had both solid and fluid body. I could get solid - solid interface as mappedWall by using any of this commands splitMeshRegions -cellZones -overwrite & splitMeshRegions -cellZonesOnly -useFaceZones
But i don't get solid-fluid interface by those commands. But my mesh was also conformal. Only i am getting wall type, instead of mappedWall.
May i know why this problem occurs ?? what is the solution for it ?
After that only i could proceed for case setting..

Thank you,
Vishsel

Are you executing toposet before you separate or not?

No I am not using topoSetDict.. Before that may i know purpose of the topoSet ?

If there are two solid region (s1 & s2) and one fluid region (f).. how to use it ?

Well, you need to tell the splitMesh what is what.
Yes. You need to use topoSet.
How do you generate the mesh? blockMesh?

I see...
Did you use cutcell method?
May be the Problem ist here?
No, in this case you do not need topoSet!
In the case you uploaded, in regionProberties there are Just two regions by the way. You need to add all regions by name there...

Meshing and split regions from ansys

I have a similar issue. I run my calculation (one fluid (water) and two solids (pipe and soil)) on OF6 with chtMultiRegionFoam and with Euler and steady state I have the problem of negative initial temperatures or exceeded number of maximum iterations after certain timesteps. Depending on the settings of pressure it works fine for 500-2000 seconds, later it crashes.
I tried to use the bcs you mentioned Peter, but it is still not working.
The mesh I checked already and it seems to be fine to me.

In OF7 the same case is working without any error, but the timeoutput seems to be wrong. My fluid is flowing with 1m/s, but after 100 seconds it advanced in the pipe only a few centimeters and not 100 meters as it should do.

I still believe the solution is hidden in the boundary conditions of pressure, but so far I could not figure out how to solve it.
Could you be so kind and have a look at my case @Peterhess?

Thank you in advance!
