CFDnewbie147 is on a distinguished road
Hello together,

I'm simulating some kind of rocket inside a limited simulation field (looks like an hexadral wind tunnel) with dsmcFoam (OF Version 2.2.1).
The simulation works fine and the results look fine too. As you know you get temperature (overallT, translationalT and internalT) pressure p, heatflow q, density rho and some others and velocity UMean.

For using the Mach numbercalculation from the tutorials you need an U and T. But how can I define UMean as U and which temperature do I have to use? Or how can I adapt the Mach utilitiy to use the dsmcFoam calculated values???

The same with calculating forceCoeffs: Does anybody know how to adapt this utility to handle it with dsmcFoam simulations?

I hope anybody can help me!
Best regards
