Combustion of Non-Premixed laminar reacting flow over heated floor in box

hello,
I tried to simulate 1) methane laminar flow in a rectangular box with hot floor 1500K containing air and nitrogen, modifying the supplied tutorial of reacting foam with my own mesh for the box. The simulation shows but the there is only an increase of 50k in the box, clearly no combustion is taking place since the boundary condition of the floor as well as laminar flow will make its velocity components zero and no convection will take place but still the fuel should have combusted with conduction from the hot floor. 2) Next in the same box instead of keeping the floor hot I kept the methane laminar flow as hot entering the box containing nitrogen and oxygen and all the time I kept getting that the temperature exceeded the bounds of max temperature and the temperature kept oscillating with no sign of convergence. I tried various schemes of discretizing and checked with limitedCubic and fourth order schemes but again the solution won't converge. I read that setting the Cmix does help in decreasing the temperature but again I couldn't locate which dictionary has it. My solver is GAMG. Please help and thanks in advance. |
