Hello to everybody. I have such problem, I need to create a spacial dynamic mesh solver which detach faces from one boundary surface and add them to another one. In my case there is a vertical wall, where two boundary condition are located. Points of internal and surface mesh are static. What should I do firstly? Thank you in advance.

Maybe you can modify the attachDetach modifier, as this sounds closest to what you are looking for. When you say that the boundary surface faces need to be moved from one boundary to another, do you mean physically moved, or just reassigned? If the latter, you may be able to do it by using a faceZone, createPatch and some create scriping...

Yes I mean to reassign faces from one boundary condition to another one. Can you give me an example of using createPatch in such way or of launching OpenFOAM utilities into a solver.
