hansjustinian is on a distinguished road
Hi everyone,

I am trying to simulate the opening and closing motion of a bileaflet mechanical heart valve in a cardiac cycle. I use pimpleDyMFoam which solves the rotation using 6DoF to calculate the motion. I use the pointDisplacement (fixedLine and fixedAxis) to set the constraints so that the valves will only rotate along its hinge axis. However, the valves will keep moving till it is fully open at 90 degrees. How should I go about setting the rotation limit for the valves so that it'll stop moving when it reaches 85 degrees? The same goes to the closing angle. Is there a way to limit the valve rotation?

Hope that someone can help me.

Thank you,
Han
