Hi ppl ,

I am new to openfoam . I tried running all the tutorials in openfoam folder. Now i wish to model my own problem in dsmc .

Its said that ,

1. Grid size should be less than mean free path of the molecules
2. deltaT <mean collision time

Now if i fix up a particle as N2

1. number density =1e20
2. meanfree path=0.0129m

depending upon the mean free path , i develop a grid whose size is less than the mean free path .



how to select the time interval ? deltaT .



Can anyone help me with this ?
