Hi Guys,
I am trying to use high performance computer for my case. I am using MRFSimpleFoam, 5.5 million cells, 36 processors. The case is running without any problem in my machine with 4 processors. The same case I tryied to run many times in HPC but no success. I tried different type of mesh as well, always its giving the error message as follows. (I am struggling with this problem for last 3 days) any help and suggestions are appreciated Create time Create mesh for time = 0 [34] #0 [35] #0 Foam::error:rintStack(Foam::Ostream&)Foam::error :rintStack(Foam::Ostream&) in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1. in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so" 1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so" [34] #1[35] #1 Foam::sigSegv::sigHandler(int)Foam::sigSegv::sigHa ndler(int) in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so" [35] #2 __restore_rt at sigaction.c:0 [35] #3 Foam:rocessorPolyPatch::updateMesh(Foam::Pstream Buffers&) in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so" [35] #4 Foam:olyBoundaryMesh::updateMesh() in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so" [35] #5 Foam:olyMesh:olyMesh(Foam::IOobject const&) in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so" [35] #6 Foam::fvMesh::fvMesh(Foam::IOobject const&) in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so" [34] #2 __restore_rt at sigaction.c:0 [34] #3 Foam:rocessorPolyPatch::updateMesh(Foam::Pstream Buffers&) in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libfiniteVolume.so" [35] #7 main in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so" [34] #4 Foam:olyBoundaryMesh::updateMesh() in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so" [34] #5 Foam:olyMesh:olyMesh(Foam::IOobject const&) in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so" [34] #6 Foam::fvMesh::fvMesh(Foam::IOobject const&) in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/bin/MRFSimpleFoam" [35] #8 __libc_start_main in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libfiniteVolume.so" [34] #7 main in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/bin/MRFSimpleFoam" [34] #8 __libc_start_main in "/lib64/libc.so.6" [34] #9 Foam::UOPstream::write(char) in "/export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/bin/MRFSimpleFoam" [cnode-5-75:31459] *** Process received signal *** [cnode-5-75:31459] Signal: Segmentation fault (11) [cnode-5-75:31459] Signal code: (-6) [cnode-5-75:31459] Failing at address: 0xa4300007ae3 [cnode-5-75:31459] [ 0] /lib64/libc.so.6 [0x30ab6302d0] [cnode-5-75:31459] [ 1] /lib64/libc.so.6(gsignal+0x35) [0x30ab630265] [cnode-5-75:31459] [ 2] /lib64/libc.so.6 [0x30ab6302d0] [cnode-5-75:31459] [ 3] /export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so(_ZN4Foam18processorPolyPatch10updat eMeshERNS_14PstreamBuffersE+0x23e) [0x2b16d0e7bd4e] [cnode-5-75:31459] [ 4] /export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so(_ZN4Foam16polyBoundaryMesh10updateM eshEv+0x1b9) [0x2b16d0e80829] [cnode-5-75:31459] [ 5] /export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so(_ZN4Foam8polyMeshC1ERKNS_8IOobjectE +0xbad) [0x2b16d0ed0d2d] [cnode-5-75:31459] [ 6] /export/home/sselvaraju/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-2.1.1/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libfiniteVolume.so(_ZN4Foam6fvMeshC2ERKNS_8IOobjec tE+0x19) [0x2b16cf866059] [cnode-5-75:31459] [ 7] MRFSimpleFoam [0x41a47d] [cnode-5-75:31459] [ 8] /lib64/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xf4) [0x30ab61d994] [cnode-5-75:31459] [ 9] MRFSimpleFoam(_ZN4Foam9UOPstream5writeEc+0xd1) [0x417709] [cnode-5-75:31459] *** End of error message *** -------------------------------------------------------------------------- mpirun noticed that process rank 34 with PID 31459 on node cnode-5-75 exited on signal 11 (Segmentation fault).
