Hi;
I am analysising the detail of volPointInterpolation, as I know, it interpolate from volField to pointField,and a field is subdivided into internalField and boundaryField, for the internalField, volPointInterpolation interpolate from cell centres to points (vertices) using inverse distance weighting. but for the boundaryField, which is coded in the function interpolateBoundaryField(), it seems that interpolate from face to points (vertices), and some detail about couple patchs, so ,who can tell me about the detail about this? |

Greetings rxgrch and welcome to the forum!
Sadly I can't go into much detail on this subject (because I don't know everything ), but I do have something that might help you understand a bit better on how to get around with interpolation and reconstruction in OpenFOAM: https://github.com/wyldckat/reconstr...te-fields/wiki Best regards, Bruno
