Hello everybody,
I'm kind of new to OpenFoam and to CFD in general so escuse me if i made obvious mistakes. I want to simulate a flow in a kind of spillway. The simulation run approximately 200sec before it blow up. My fvSolution and fvSchemes files are the same as those used for the dam break model except for cAlpha=0.5. Also when i run checkMesh it gave me the error message "failed 2 mesh checks" and i don't know how to fix it, until i don't know where the problem come from. It's been two week that i didn't figure to solve this problem so any help would be great. Best regards, Thomas 0.zip system.zip constant.zip |

Thomas,
Your problem is clearly with your mesh. You have highly skewed cells and that will cause your solution to blow up. Fix your mesh and that will likely solve your issue. As for how to fix it, I can't offer advice on blockMesh as I typically do not use that utility. In general there are a lot of factors that can cause skewed elements. You will need to do some experimenting. Good luck. |
