Hi,
I have used interFoam solver and followed damBreak example to simulate a multi-phase flow and I succeeded. Now, I want to change the condition in such a way that one of the fluids is replaced by vacuum (water droplet falling in vacuum). What changes should I implement or which boundary conditions suit my problem well? Any suggestion would be much appreciated. Saba |

Hi Saba, I am also having the same issue using the interFoam solver and trying to simulate vacuum in a casting process. Does anybody have suggestions about it?
Thank you! Federico |

Does it make sense to use a continuum method to model a vacuum?

Hi Anton,
maybe not. But how to tell Openfoam that vacuum cells are EMPTY? What would be your approach? Best Regards |
