Dear all,
I wonder whether there is adjustments in using forces type in the controlDict file from OpenFOAM-2.1x to OpenFOAM-1.6-ext. The controlDict file looks like this: functions ( forces { type forces; functionObjectLibs ("libforces.so"); outputControl timeStep; outputInterval 1; patches (innerBlades); rhoName rhoInf; log true; rhoInf 1.225; CofR (0 0 0.05); } ); the viscous forces and moments looks fine but the pressure ones not so. For example, if I set the initial internal pressure field in 0/p at 0, the pressure forces come out zero: forces output: forces(pressure, viscous)((0 0 0) (0.00361717 0.00349609 -2.61363e-05)) moment(pressure, viscous)((0 0 0) (1.73933e-06 -4.97862e-06 -0.00040247)) and if I set this internal pressure field at atmospheric value 1.01325e+5, the results come out non zero but nearly zero: forces(pressure, viscous)((-7.61613e-15 -1.22402e-14 3.08017e-18) (0.00341451 0.00334337 -1.47808e-05)) moment(pressure, viscous)((-8.05998e-17 -4.94104e-16 -4.76008e-16) (4.06332e-08 -2.98494e-06 -0.00063185)) Can anyone help with this issue. Note: I was using as until pimpleDyMFaom from OF-2.1.x but because of repeated crashes, I am trying out icoDyMFoam from OF-1.6-ext. Thank you for your help. |
