Hello,
I am attempting to simulate a vortex dipole (i.e. a Lamb dipole) impacting a wall. From the literature it seems that to properly solve this problem, particularly at high Reynolds numbers, it is important the the discretization scheme for the convective terms conserve kinetic energy. I'm currently using icoFoam and am looking for the proper discretization scheme to employ. Does anyone know which, if any, of the numerical schemes available conserve kinetic energy? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Best regards, Sean |
