spv24 is on a distinguished road
Hello,

At the moment I am experimenting with good solver settings, especially for the fvSchemes to simulate the distribution of a tracer gas in a flow. I would like to minimize the effects of numerical diffusion. At the moment the best results so far are when using SFCD as div interpolation schemes.

I am primirarily doing PIMPLE calculations with stationary boundary conditions of compressible flows using both turbulence models: laminar and k-Epsilon.

Did anyone do such things before and knows good solver settings to share?

Are there any special advices for the mesh besides the requirement that it should to very fine to minimize the numerical diffusion as well?

Thanks,

Sammy

If possible, use a central scheme (linear or cubic), respecting its stability condition. High-order gradients (leastSquares or fourth) are a good idea too.
