I probably should have posted this here - newbie mistake - so here are my questions again (for the developers)...
Recently (see git) Henry made some changes to the chtMultiRegionFoam solver (and presumably a little earlier to basic thermophysicalModels) such that liquids could be modelled. I thought I'd road test the changes to basicRhoThermo and hRhoThermo (icoPoly3ThermoPhyiscs) in a buoyantPimpleFoam example but have ended up rather confused (see attached case). Firstly, I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the buoyancy comes from when hRhoThermo<...<...<incompressible>>> is used (if density remains constant)? And secondly, given use of the icoPoly3ThermoPhysics, how on earth might I get this example to provide me with believable results? I'd be well chuffed... Cheers, Will. |
