Hi,

I'm trying to model a fluid-solid catalysis reaction using chtMultiRegionFoam, with the reaction happening only on the surface of the solid catalyst.

To do that, my idea was to implement a scalar field reactionZone with value 1 in the part of the fluid region i want the reaction to happen, and 0 everywhere else.

I have successfully implemented the scalar field in the solver, checking it in paraview to ensure it's set up correctly. Now, i have tried to implement the field in the reaction rates calculations, but with no success, although i can tell the field is being read correctly, and compiling without error.

How and where should i go about changing the chemistry solvers to implement the field? Or is there another way to limit the reaction to happen only on the fluid-solid interface?
