Hello everyone,
I’m new to this forum and I’m happy to join. I’m currently working on a CFD project for my master’s thesis in chemical engineering, which involves simulating a pressurized hydrogen release from a small hole in an open environment. I’m using OF v.11 and the multicomponentFluid solver. Unfortunately, I’m stuck on setting up the thermoType. I’m using the following setup: thermoType { type hePsiThermo; mixture multicomponentMixture; transport sutherland; thermo hPolynomial; equationOfState perfectGas; specie specie; energy sensibleInternalEnergy; } The problem is then setting up the hPolynomial because my simulation spans a wide temperature range, even below 250K, so I can’t use the Janaf data. I’ve constructed a 13th-degree polynomial that accurately represents Cp from 50 to 1500K, but with hPolynomial, it seems possible to input a polynomial of only up to degree 8. How can I increase the polynomial size? I can also share the polynomials coefficients for O2, H2, and N2 if someone would like to use it. Thanks to everyone |
