Hi everyone!
I was trying lately to apply correction factors the k-e transport equation in the same way as the following paper: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/....1002/fld.2709 It about correcting the transport equation with a uniform 'k' profile for an ABL. The wall cause the well known spike at the second cell, which by applying theses factors, resolve the issue. The trick is, the correction factors are applies only from the 2nd to the 4th cell in the domain from the wall and are functions of 'z'. I made some attempts to do so by using the 'fvOptions' framework along with 'topoSet' and applying a 'codedSource' term on Epsilon and k. Everything run smooth, but the spike is still there. I assume the problem reside in the fact that during the transport equation are getting resolve, the factors are not apply directly on the transport equations but apply only on the term source itself. I already set another k-e model file ready to be modify. So, I looking for some example or information on how I could code these factors in the turbulence model. Thank you very much for your time and considerations. Best Regards, Last edited by Tibo99; November 29, 2020 at 02:12. |
