Hey Everyone,
I am currently trying to simulate the deformation of a bilayer beam where the 2nd layer is added not at the start of the simulation but at some later point where the first one is already deformed. At that point the 2nd layer should be stress free while the first one has stress due to the deformation. Right now I would try to set the material properties of the 2nd material basically to vacuum until I switch it on and then try to somehow set the deformation in the 2nd layer as its initial undeformed state. Do you know if this could work or there is an easier way to do this? |
