Hi everyone,
I am working on pebble bed geometry where the particles produce their own energy internally. I have used DPMFoam to successfully form stable beds, and am now looking to how I can get the pebbles to be the energy sources in the geometry. I have the heatTransferModel in the kinematicCloudProperties file, however I believe that this will only be used to describe the transfer of heat, and is not the option for heat production. Doing a search on the forum turned up that there appears to be some people that have tried going the other way in the past (ie adding collisions to solvers such as reactingParcelFoam), however there is very little on adding an energy equation to the DPMFoam solver. Does anyone have any experience with particle internal heat production in the DPMFoam solver (or any of the other lagrangian solvers in OpenFoam)? Or the addition of a lagrangian particle energy equation to a solver? If so any advice on where to start would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Robert |
