I was wondering if anyone has attempted to implement flux limiters in OpenFOAM which also utilise the the local Courant number (CFL-dependent)? Examples of limiters of this type include the Arora-Roe limiter, Superpower limiter, etc (see Kemm, F (2011). A comparative study of TVD-limiters - well-known limiters and an introduction of new ones).
As far as I can tell, all of the flux limiters in OpenFOAM are of the CFL-independent variety. Is any particular reason for this? Thanks, James |
