Dear Foamers,
due to an advice of the cluster owner we have to change our version of OF from 2.0.1 to 3.0.x. Because we using a self-programmed solver, the question showed up, if we can implement the "old" 2.0.1 solver in OF 3.0.x just by the standard way to compile a new solver like written here. http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...m-2-1-0-a.html Does anybody has some experiences here? Thanks a lot. Stefan |

Depends on your code really. Typically some changes are required, and typically they are easily implemented for people with some programming experience. Your mileage may vary.

Dear Anton,
thank you for your quick reply. I got a bit programming experience, so may I could manage it. But how can I identify the changings which have to be done? Are there typical things which have to be changed? Or would you recomend a try and error proceed followed by doing chances according the error messages? What do you guess is the best way to go for it? Thanks! Stefan |
