I want to calculate volume flow rate in lagrangian fuel particle model. I am thinking to calculate like this; volumeFlowRate = U*A (m^3/s), U is the velocity vector and A is the area vector for every cellwise calculation. I am having a problem to find out cross sectional area vector (A) of cells in OpenFoam model. At this moment faceAreas (Sf) are available in the openFoam. I can use reconstruct option to convert surfaceScalarField to volVectorField but the results are not matching with experimental. Any suggestions !
