Combining compressible incompressible equations in cht

Hey there,
I made two modifications of the chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam Solver. One with the equations from rhoSimpleFoam (chtCompressible), the other with the simpleFoam (chtIncompressible) equations. I found this out: if I set the thermodynamic properties in the chtCompressible solver to "incompressible", then I don't get the same results for for pressure and velocity field as with the chtIncompressible solver (even though after comparing all equations I think the results should be the same). Now my goal is to make a new cht-solver that unites both (chtIncompressible and chtCompressible) solvers. Did anybody try this before? Are there issues when combining the e.g. turbulence models together? I don't find any literature about this on the internet and am wondering why nobody tried this before. Or does anybody have an idea why I apparently can't simulate an incompressible fluid withe the compressible equations? I dont have access to a linux computer right now (christmas) but I'm thinking about it all the time... Thank you so much for ideas and have a great fest. Best Kiki |
