Hi,
I'm new to OpenFoam and I'm trying to model Acoustic Streaming using OpenFoam 2.3.0 for my third year undergraduate research project. I'm trying to add forces at different points on the mesh with varying magnitudes and directions that will change the direction and velocity of the flow. Is this possible and if so how can I do this? Many Thanks Matt |

Hi,
You've got several possibilities, depending on your real needs (what was described in your post is too general). You can look at how gravity is implemented in buoyantBoussinesqPimpleFoam (or interFoam). Or you can go with fvOptions, look at pressureGradientExplicitSource as an example, then use codedSource to implement your own. |

Sorry, I'll specify more. I'm trying to add reynolds stresses to many different points on a '2D' mesh with different magnitudes and directions. I'm trying to model the flow when it's in a steady state.
