Hi,
I am new to Openfoam and involved in a project where parallel computing is used. I need some detailed understanding on how parallel solutions are obtained in OpenFoam. As I understand, decomposepar seperates solution geometry into several parts and each part is solved seperately using each processor. Is this procedure introduce new boundries at processor intersessions? If so how is their boundary conditions generated? During this process is there any communication between processors to update those boundary conditions? If any one can give an simple mathematical outline of how parallel computing is performed and some material I can refer to it will be very useful. I have to face a review presentation on this project in near future so your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks |
