Dear OpenFoam users,
I am trying to solve a advection-reaction problem with an Operator-Splitting(Fractional Step) method. I have developed a separate code for solving the reaction part of the solution. I am now curious to know is it possible to solve the advection part in OpenFoam and combine that with my reaction solver? . I know in principle OpenFOAM is an extensible open source general purpose CFD solver. But given my knowledge in OpenFoam is nearly nil will it be really difficult to do that. I have an intermediate knowledge and experience in c++. My equation is attached with this thread. I have solved reaction part of the equation. Would someone please help me out? Thank you in advance. |

Hi,
If you know your f(X) , yes it is easy, look: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Ho...sport_equation Regards, T.D. |
