Hi,
I found it says in the release note of v2.2.0(http://www.openfoam.org/version2.2.0/matrix-solvers.php) that "The block-matrix structure can also be used to support implicit handling of sources which couple components, e.g. SRF, MRF, etc. although this requires some changes to the respective applications." I think it means that we can use this functionality to handle the Coriolis force implicitly. Could you tell me what kind of changes do I have to make in SRFSimpleFoam? I'll welcome any comments from you. Best regards, Fumiya

Fumiya,
I would so much have liked to be able to give you a useful reply. I believe that my tet-mesh (from CFX-Pre) of a real-world, commercial geometry contributes to my problem: Slowly through a series of more than hundred iterations, one single cell may develop an unphysically large velocity where zero would be the velocity to expect. Then I thought that I should look for a game-changer, imagined that implicit solving for the Coriolis force might be one, and yesterday I found your posting. Have you made any progress since then? Does, by chance, anybody have a solution to my problem? Best regards, Kim |
