Dear,
I am looking for a way to compute diffusion term (see Jasak PHD, 3.59 section 3.3.3.1) through a boundary. I have read in other posts that I should use snGrad(T) method instead of simple grad(T) method at the boundary. Indeed, I only managed to use grad(T) and the results seem not to be good. The problem is that snGrad method cannot be applied to a patchField that results from the method boundaryField()[patchID]... Actually I am not sure to understand the type of object returned by snGrad method, it seems not to be a vectorField and this is what I would need to compute the diffusion term through the boundary. I found this that could be related to my problem but I did not manage to make it work: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...tions-how.html. Can you please help me with this? Best regards, Bou |

Thank you for your reply and the provided presentation.
Unfortunately, it seems there is not so much practical details about the way to proceed using the C++ code. I think that trying to reconstruct the gradient value from fundamental notions is not a good idea. It must exist a way to that using predefined methods. Thank you anyway, Bou |
