inter processor communication

Hello Everyone,
I would like to know where exactly the inter-processor communication takes place. Take for example, in the icoFoam solver: My wild guess is, it is done : 1. Inside the solve() function ? 2. Inside U.correctBoundaryConditions(). Is this correct ? On a different note, if I would like to establish another layer of communications on top of the existing send-receives ( I'm thinking of more like a cell to cell communication ), Where do you think, it is more appropriate to place this additional communication layer ? Many thanks Dominic |
