Hi,
there is some documentation about implementing plasma arc welding simulation with OpenFoam, specially by Sass-Tisovskaya or by H. Nilsson. Although the implementation of the solver is completely described in some paper, I wonder if it is possible to get it. It doesn't seems to be available in standar OF distribution and I couldn't also find it in the OF-extend project. Anyone knows if it is possible to get it?
Thank you

Robert

akidess will become famous soon enough
Hey Robert, your best chance is to write directly to the authors of those works. Also check out the work by Alireza Javidi. Sass-Tisovskaya also released some code, but I don't think it's what you are looking for: http://www.tfd.chalmers.se/~hani/kurser/OS_CFD_2012/

Hi, Anton,
thank you very much for your quick reply. Yes, you are right, the best option is to contact directly the developers, but I wanted first to find an officlally released solver. The one that you mention in the OS CFD course is not what I am looking for, as you said. So, I will try to contact the developers.
Best regards
Robert
P.S. BTW, I think that the Alireza Javidi link is wrong, but don't worry, I have been googling and I have found the information. Thank you, again.

Hello Robert!

Have you found a method to implement your simulations? I am interested to know what is your method (script... ).

Thanks for your answer.
