Dear Foamers,
I am using OF 1.6-ext and I want to do an explicit coupling (Dirichlet-Neumann) between a 2D and a 3D region (see the attachment for a sketch). The 2D region is actually a 3D region with unit height, and I want to allow the 3D region to be higher than the 2D region. Exchange of variables should take place between one face in the 2D region and these 3D faces that match it in the x-y plane. Now my question is how to link the respective faces? In general - should I set up a new boundary condition for this, or can I put it in the solver itself? Probably a new BC would be the better approach, I guess? Maybe there already exists a boundary condition allowing for this? If not - how can I store the information about which faces match? And how do I retrieve them then? Thanks in advance! Florian |
