Hello,
I've been searching around the forums and while there is a wealth of information on creating new finiteVolume boundary conditions, there seems to be very little relating to the finiteArea side of things as would be expected. I'm attempting to build the regionCouple boundary condition for use in the finiteArea library. Ultimately I'm aiming to use this boundary for a mesh motion case. I'm working with OpenFOAM-1.5-dev on an Ubuntu machine. If anyone has had any experience modifying FV boundary conditions for use with FA or creating boundary conditions from scratch, I would love to hear your experiences. Regards, Andrew |

Hi Andrew,
You might want to switch over to 1.6-ext for the newest FA library version before diving into that kind of development. As for new FA boundary conditions: The FA library was written very well in that it mirrors the FV implementation in most aspects of functionality (mesh, fvc, fvm). While I haven't spent too much time on FA boundary conditions specifically, I'm thinking you could mirror the FV approach pretty closely. Cheers! Kyle |
