Hi Foamers,

I'm dealing with a simple 3D pipe. I have measurements at the inlet, which is the radial and axial velocity, turbulentKE and nut in terms of the radial distance from the wall. I want to impose this data in U, k and nut and calculate epsilon.

1. If I define my parameters as in the pitzDailyExptInlet tutorial, that is giving the coordinate of the points and the give the values, I'll have the values along one line at the inlet, right? So the values will be interpolated to the nodes?

2. How can I "rotate" the values all along the inlet face to have the data everywhere? Is there a specific BC for that? I'm thinking about cylindricalInletVelocity BC type, but what about k and nut?

Thank you in advance,
Attila

groovyBC is your friend: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Contrib_groovyBC

Now it is part of swak4Foam, but the previous page is still useful for info: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Contrib/swak4Foam

Hello Alberto,

thanks. Finally I'm using a 2D case and the timeVaryingMappedFixedValue type.

Best,
Attila
