In OpenFOAM 1.3, if you notice the following warnings when you start FoamX and double-click on your hostname, it is possibly because of a re-organization[1].

--> FOAM Warning :

in file IPropertiesImpl.C at line 375
User specified root directory "$FOAM_RUN/tutorials/icoTopoFoam" ("/home/cfd/OpenFOAM/cfd-1.3/run/tutorials/icoTopoFoam") not found. Removing from root directories list.

If you wish to work around this annoying yet harmless warning, all you need to do is edit ~/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.3/.OpenFOAM-1.3/controlDict and comment out these two lines by prefixing them with //:

"$FOAM_RUN/tutorials/icoTopoFoam"
"$FOAM_RUN/tutorials/icoFoamAutoMotion"
