Hi,
I installed OF-1.5 on OpenSUSE 10.3/11.0 64 bit OS. When I typed FoamX, I got "bash: FoamX: command not found". Is FoamX still supported in OF-1.5? Or has the command changed? Thanks! Pei |

Hi, Pei,
I think FoamX becomes obsolete in OF-1.5 (See Appendix A). The instruction of running FoamX can be found in User guide's Section A.5. I hope it helps. Ivan |

Hi guys,
I want to update from 1.4 to 1.5 too but I need FoamX (command line is hard for me). Is it possible to make FoamX (in OpenFOAM-1.4) works with OpenFOAM-1.5? Thanks and regards, Y.J. |

I think the FoamX installation and usage reference in the OpenFOAM v1.5 manual is for older versions of OpenFOAM. I have compiled both v1.4 and v1.5 and I know v1.5 does not incorporate the paths associated with FoamX.
So the big question is why is FoamX abandoned? Any work arounds or possibilities for a similar interface release? Some insight would be appreciated. Thanks. A.C. |
