Overset region inside another overset region

Good day.
I'm trying to figure out how to do a simulation where I need one overset region inside another one. The flow problem that motivates this is a 2D simulation of a vertical axis wind turbine with three blades. The blades are rotating around a common centre (the first overset region), but each blade are also changing their pitch angles as they move around (the second, and also third and fourth overset regions). Before I get to that though I have to be able to do a more simple model with one overset region inside another one, and from that I think I should be able to build the other one. I'm able to do simulations with one overset region, but I struggle with the formulation and hierarchy of topoSet and setFields etc. when I have two overset regions where one is dependent of the other's motion. I haven't been able to find anyone else doing this, but I'm sure I can't be the first to have the need. Any help and pointers in the right direction would be highly appreciated. |
