OpenFoamNewbie is on a distinguished road
Hello all,

I am a beginner with OpenFoam and currently working on the simulation of a 2D dambreak case of a non-newtonian fluid using the interIsoFoam solver. The "surrounding fluid" being air. Currently I have a no-slip bc at the bottom wall. Problem: Because of that bc I get air bubbles trapped underneath the non-newtonian fluid at the bottom wall when running the simulation, which distort my result. Goal: I want to get rid of them.

In a paper dealing with a similar problem (DOI: 10.1016/j.jnnfm.2016.05.008) they suggested to keep the no-slip bc at the bottom wall for the non-newtonian fluid but to have a free slip bc at the bottom wall for the air. Is there any way to implement that in OpenFoam? Basically a fluid-dependent wall bc? Maybe using the groovy bc?

I would greatly appreciate any help!
