In 0/alpha.air, the inlet gas fraction is set to a fixed value of 0.5.
Is this value chosen independently from the other simulation parameters? Or is it related to some other constant, say U.air? |

No sure what is your question, but I will try and please let me know if I hit it.
alpha.air is the concentration of the air on the inlet. The rest is the water as a carrying liquid to the air bubbles. U.air is a velocity at inlet. You do not need to multiply it by the alpha.air to get the bubble velocity. |
