Hi, I am trying to generating a solid baffle in the fluid domain and calculate properties on it. To achieve this, I am using "extrudetoregionmeshdict".
However, I found the generated mesh is not "flat" nor uniform. I am wondering if my settings are wrong. I hope to receive help on this. thanks! Below are the settings of "extrudetoregionmeshdict". %%%%% oneD true; sampleMode nearestPatchFace; extrudeModel linearNormal; oneDPolyPatchType empty; //wedge nLayers 8; expansionRatio 1; adaptMesh true; // directMapped for both linearNormalCoeffs { thickness 0.1; } %%%%% |

Hi, all, I have attached some plots and contours to show what happened.
As you can see the contour contains lots of point noise. The 2d line plot shows these local data oscillations. What might be the cause of this?? |
