Hi All,
I would like to run a simulation to find out how an object that can pivot around a fixed point will be effected by a fluid flow (water). The object has mass and so a moment about the pivot point, I would like to see at which angle the object will be in equilibrium at different velocities due to the weight and moment of the frame and the lift and moment from the fluid flow becoming equal. please see attached diagram. it would be good to see the frame pivot and stabilise in the post processing. but maybe this sim would also be possible as steady-state? anyway I'm looking for some advice on where to start with this one. Does anyone know any tutorials that I could build my case from? I don't know how to have the geometry pivot about a fixed point and be able to move during the simulation. Any help would be great thank you! |
