hi,

I am working on very simple geometry: a pipe with the fluid inner region and solid outer region, so my solver will be CHT.
I am using ansys fluent for the meshing part and in order to get a conformal mesh I group the two bodies in one part. Once I export the two bodies to OpenFOAM with fluent3DMeshToFoam and splitRegions I didn't find the contatc region e.g. fluid_to_region or, at least, the surfaces trg and src.

how I can resolve the problem?

thank you for your help

First step:

Add also the volumes as named component, not just the surface boundaries.

And give them the names as in regionsProperties.

I suppose here that you for sure added the regions names already in regionsProperties as named in Ansys mesher. Else the problem could be here...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Second step (if the first one fail):

Add the interface as named component. Both of them as one component or as two components (try both). i.e. two component for every interface.

Change those to wall, before separation in OF.

And then make them mapped wall using changeDictionaryDict.

I am not sure if Ansys mesher would accept to define an internal face or interface as a component, especially if the volumes are in a group, any way you can try...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are using cutcell method for mesh generation in Ansys mesher, try to use other method (or no method), if the those suggestions did not work.

Give a feedback please, also if the problem solved.

Post the mesh please if that did not work...
