Hello to all,
I am trying to model the injection of a tracer into a channel from the inlet. I am running a Large Eddy Simulation and, in order to avoid the dependence of results on the inlet turbulence intensity, I prescribed the inlet and outlet of the channel as periodic, using the "cyclic" boundary condition. Once the flow is stabilized, I would like to insert the tracer from the inlet as a pulse for a short period of time and obtain the residence time distribution (RTD). In the tracer file I defined the inlet type as "fixedValue" to fix the input value of the tracer, but when I run the simulation, an error tells me that I must define the inlet type as "cyclic". Can anyone suggest me how to insert the tracer into the channel from the inlet with cyclic boundary condition? Thanks for help in advance. |
