Hello,

I am using icoReactingMultiphaseInterFoam solver for simulating water droplet evaporation, I have got everything working but when i try to visualize using paraview i find that water droplet keeps on moving over the entire surface, is there a specific thing i need to specify to keep it stable. If i change the mu value in thermophysicalproperties.liquid to that of mercury, it doesn´t move. I am using velocity of 0.1 m/s, with a rectangular chamber of 4(width)x2(height)x10(length) cm dimensions and droplet is placed at a distance of 2 cm from inlet and is of 50microL size. Is there anything i could do to fix this, i tried RAS with nutRoughwall function still i couldn't figure it out.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance. I am attaching geometry cross section for your refernce.

Hi Jagan,

I am now also using this solver for the simulation of droplet evaporation. Could you tell me what boundary condition you are using? I could not get the explainable results.

Look forward to your kind reply.

Best regards,

The reason maybe the spurious current associated with VOF due to error associated with curvature calculation of the droplet which you can't eliminate completely. Can you share your case so that I can have a look at your parameters?
